The Niagara History Center will present its annual Key to the Locks Award to Steven Cotten at 10AM on Saturday, May 17th followed by the Lock Tenders Tribute Procession. Members of the Ames Royal Arch Chapter of the Free and Accepted Masons will hold a reenactment of the laying of the capstone at the base of the Erie Canal Flight of Five Locks at 11AM. Lockport’s volunteer Lock Tenders will demonstrate locking the Erie Traveler through the Flight of Five Locks starting at 11:30AM, with live music from The Heenan Brothers. The Locks District Museum will be open for visitors throughout this time. Stop on by for a fun morning!

Save the Date! The Dale Association will host Crepes for Connie on Thursday, May 29th from 5 PM to 9 PM at 33 Ontario Street in Lockport. Tickets include a crepe from Mad Irons’ special event menu, a beverage selection featuring coffee from Steamworks (this is an alcohol-free event), face painting by Alex Thom of Lock City Studio, live music performed by Joe Ferchen, and a round of bingo at 7 PM. Additional bingo rounds and food options will also be available for purchase.
