-
The Lockport Community Farmers Market was established in 2010 by Lockport Main Street.
Since then we have grown hosting over 45 markets year-round offering local produce, food products, home goods, and crafts at every market.
Lockport Main Street is a nonprofit dedicated to the community and economic development in downtown Lockport through community programming, special events, and tourism & marketing.
What we offer:
The Lockport Community Farmers Market is dedicated to making fresh and local produce and food products available to everyone in the community. The LCFM administers and accepts the following currencies:
Cash, Credit, and Debit Cards- All vendors accept cash. Some vendors are unable to accept credit and debit at their stands, that’s where the LCFM tokens come into play! If you are trying to shop a vendor with a credit or debit card and they do not accept credit or debit at their stands, please see the market information table for credit tokens! We will charge your card and distribute LCFM credit tokens in exchange. You can then use the LCFM at any vendor. The vendor will accept the LCFM tokens and give you cash back if needed.
SNAP/EBT Benefits- You can shop the market with your EBT benefits by going to the market information table with your EBT card and PIN number. We will run your card and then distribute $1 value wooden EBT tokens. These tokens can be redeemed at the vendor’s stand for the following approved SNAP/EBT food items:
APPROVED ITEMS:
Fruits and vegetables;
Meat, poultry, and fish;
Dairy products;
Breads and cereals;
Other foods such as snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages; and
Seeds and plants, which produce food for the household to eat.
NOT APPROVED ITEMS:
Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, or tobacco
Vitamins, medicines, and supplements. If an item has a Supplement Facts label, it is considered a supplement and is not eligible for SNAP purchase.
Live animals
Foods that are hot at the point of sale
Any nonfood items such as:
- Pet foods
- Cleaning supplies, paper products, and other household supplies.
- Hygiene items, cosmetics
Double Up Food Bucks- We are not distributing Double Up Food Bucks this season. If you have remaining food bucks you may use with the appropriate vendors. The Double Up Food Bucks program is an incentive program for SNAP/EBT customers. When you take out your EBT benefits at the market, we can double your benefits up to $20 to spend on FRUITS and VEGETABLES ONLY. The Market can only double your benefits 1 time per market day and only up to $20. Therefore if you take out $20 of your EBT benefits you will receive $20 in DUFB tokens. If you take out $80 of your EBT benefits, you will only receive $20 in DUFB tokens. Please see the market information table for this service and more information.
Farmers Market Nutritional Program (FMNP)- Qualifying senior citizens and WIC recipients can receive Farmers Market Nutritional Program checks that can be spent on fruits and vegetables right at the vendor’s stands. These checks are distributed by The Niagara County Office of the Aging and the local WIC agency. These programs runs from July 1st through November 29th and should be spent on fruits and vegetables ONLY.
FreshConnect Checks Program- The FreshConnect Checks Program was designed to increase the purchasing power of SNAP/EBT veteran, service member, or an immediate family member of a veteran or service member. The checks should be redeemed right at the vendor’s stands, on SNAP-approved items ONLY, and during the year that is printed on the checks (ex. all checks for 2025 should be labeled 2025)
